As this is a private tour and no one else will join your group, the tour is fully customizable according to your preferences. The tour begins at your selected time, departures are available on 3 different schedules, but if you need a different time setting do let us know and we will try to accomodate.
Depending on your choice of route, the tour and the order of the tastings may change but a standard route for the tour where in five delightful food stops, we’ll uncover the traditions behind some of Portugal’s beloved snacks, fast meals, drinks, and desserts will go as follows:
In each stop we offer you a taste of our rich culinary heritage, crafted with simplicity, authenticity, and the freshest local ingredients—a true reflection of our deep connection to the land and sea.
The tour will start at the restauradores square, or I can meet you at your hotel if it's in the area, and we will start by lisbon's downtown, Rossio and Commerce Square, move through Alfama and up to the Castle, return to downtown and climb again up to Chiado to cover most of Lisbon's historical center. Periodically in some of these locations we will stop for a bite of one of portugal's food traditions, finishing up with one modern creation that is already in itself a tradition.
If you have any food allergies please let me know. During the tour we will have food that contains, meat, fish, dairy and gluten, but not all at the same time, so we will try to find alternatives to your situation.
We will meet you at Praça dos Restauradores, south side, by the "Calceteiro" (Pavement worker) Statue.
The tour will end in Rossio Square

- At time of booking, Cruise ship passengers must provide the following information at time of booking: ship name, docking time, disembarkation time and re-boarding time
- Please advise any specific dietary requirements or any other special needs at time of booking.
- All of our tours are normally made in English, but can also be made in Spanish, and of course, Portuguese. Just refer which language you prefer when you book.
- A maximum of 10 people per booking, for other group sizes please contact us directly
- The departure times can be changed to your preference, if available. Just mention it on the special requirements.
We hope that there will be no need for, but in the unfortunate event of a cancellation we will charge the following:
If cancelled more than 7 days before the tour: 0% Cancellation fee
Between 7 and 5 days before the tour: 20% Cancellation fee
Between 5 and 2 days before the tour: 50% Cancellation fee
48 hours or less before the tour (including Noshows): 100% Cancellation fee
