As this is a private tour and no one else will join your group, the tour is fully customizable according to your preferences or schedule needs if you come on a cruise ship, for example. Your private day tour will begin with a pick up from your Lisbon hotel or cruise port. The objective of the day will be to show you the national monuments in the town of Sintra, an UNESCO World Heritage Site. As this is a private tour, you will have the freedom to rearrange your tour how you see fit. Below is the standard itinerary for the Full Day tour (the half day options will have necessarily less detail/locations):
When the focus of the trip is to visit the Pena Palace, this will be our very first stop. As tickets and visits are timed, be sure to let us know that you plan to visit this palace so we can design the itinerary and advise you on the time to purchase tickets (many times tickets need to be purchased one month before). The Moorish Castle can also be visited in the vicinity of Pena Palace. Afterward, head to the center of Sintra, where you can enjoy the traditional pastries at a local pastry shop before continuing the visits. Other palaces that can be visited is the Village Palace, an 11th century palace, that has been transformed throughout the centuries and is now one of the most emblematic places of Sintra, the Regaleira Palace with its impressive gardens or the Monserrate Palace, an 19th century summer residence and it's beautiful gardens.
On our way back if time allows we can still visit the Queluz National Palace, an 18th century palace inspired by the Versailles palace in France where one of the most beautiful and well maintained french gardens in Portugal can be seen.
On one Full Day in Sintra it's impossible to visit all of the palaces above mentioned. Normally there is time for 4 visits or three visits and extended shopping time. Please inform the guide of your preferences so that all can be arranged to suit your requirements.

- Please note that all our prices are per trip and not per person, meaning that the price you see is what you pay for the whole group.
- Depending on the size of the group the tours are made on a high end sedan/estate (Mercedes E or equivalent) or on a high end van (Mercedes V or equivalent)

- All of our tours are normally made in English, but can also be made in Spanish, and of course, Portuguese. Just let us know if you require a different language than English when you book.
We hope that there will be no need for, but in the unfortunate event of a cancellation we will charge the following:
If cancelled more than 7 days before the tour: 0% Cancellation fee - Full Refund
Between 7 and 5 days before the tour: 25% Cancellation fee - 75% Refund
Between 4 and 2 days before the tour: 50% Cancellation fee - 50% Refund
48 hours or less days before the tour (including Noshows): 100% Cancellation fee - No Refund
