All the itineraries and schedules that are described on this page are the standard ones for this tour. As this is a private tour and no one else will join your group, the tour is fully customizable according to your preferences or schedule needs if you come on a cruise ship, for example. To change anything just inform us at the time of booking or talk to the driver on the day of the tour.

Itinerary

Our tour begins with the pick up at your Hotel, Apartment or Ship in Lisbon, but as we are going across the country for the better part of the itinerary, we can start virtually in any part of the country. Just let us know before you book and we can develop custom itinerary based on your needs.

This private 10 day tour is provided mainly with the objective of showing you as many regions of Portugal as possible. Starting in Lisbon and Sintra we will go through the region of Évora and Alentejo to the Algarve, then back up to Lisbon, and to Obidos, Fátima, the Douro Valley, Porto, Coimbra and Aveiro before returning to Lisbon again. Although there will be time to visit the inside of some selected places and attractions, it is never sufficient to visit all of them, so please inform your driver of your preferences and all arrangements will be made in order to fulfill your preferences. This experience is provided for the sole purpose of your enjoyment so feel free to ask for whatever you need and we will try our best to accommodate your request. As this is a private tour, you can rearrange your tour as you see fit. Below is the standard itinerary:

Day 1 - Tour of Lisbon
Day 2 - Tour of Sintra including entrances to the Pena Palace or other Palace of your choice
Day 3 - Tour of Arrábida ending in Évora
Day 4 - Tour of Monsaraz and Vidigueira ending in Algarve including clay pot wine tasting
Day 5 - Tour of Eastern Algarve including a visit to the Salt Flats
Day 6 - Tour of South West Atlantic Coast on the way to Lisbon
Day 7 - Tour of Óbidos and Fátima or Tomar, ending in Douro Valley
Day 8 - Tour of Douro Valley ending in Porto including a wine tasting and boat cruise
Day 9 - Tour of Porto
Day 10 - Return to Lisbon passing by Aveiro and Coimbra, including a boat tour in Aveiro or the Library in Coimbra.

If you come on a Cruise, at time of booking, please inform us of the ship name, disembarkation time and re-boarding time.

Please note that all our prices are per trip and not per person, meaning that the price you see is what you pay for the whole group.
Depending on the size of the group and car availability the tours are made on a high end sedan/estate (Mercedes E or equivalent) or on a high end van (Mercedes V or equivalent)

All of our tours are normally made in English, but can also be made in Spanish, and of course, Portuguese. Just let us know if you require a different language than English when you book.
