Portuguese Horse World Heritage and Estremoz - Full Day Private Tour 

Embark with us on this Full Day trip to the inside of Portugal, where one of the most recognized horse breeds in the world is born, the Cavalo Lusitano, or Lusitanian Horse, an old breed that has been bred since the 18th century in this farm created by the Portuguese King, and which has been serving kings and other institutions in Portugal ever since. 

Your tour starts with your pickup from the hotel. After an approximate 2-hour drive, we will arrive at this old Royal stud farm where we will spend the first part of the day on a guided tour of the farm and the history of this horse and the Portuguese Riding Art, a Immaterial World Heritage by Unesco. Depending on the schedule, we may also be able to see a Falconry show where the trained Falcons demonstrate their hunting skills. 

Depending on the day and on the program of the farm, you may be able to see the horses in the wild. After the visit, you will have lunch at a nearby typical restaurant of your choice, which your guide will help you decide, and proceed to Estremoz, home of the best marble extraction in Portugal or to Vila Vicosa, home of the palace of the Dukes of Braagança, the royal family of Portugal from the 17th to the 20th Centuries.

• Depending on the size of the group and car availability the tours are made on a high end sedan/estate (Mercedes E or equivalent) or on a high end van (Mercedes V or equivalent)

• All of our tours are normally made in English, but can also be made in Spanish, Italian and of course, Portuguese. Just let us know if you require a different language than English when you book.

Between 7 and 5 days before the tour: 25% Cancellation fee - 75% Refund

Between 4 and 2 days before the tour: 50% Cancellation fee - 50% Refund

48 hours or less before the tour (including No-shows): 100% Cancellation fee - No Refund
