Medieval Knights of Templar and World Heritage Tomar Private Tour 

Your private day tour will begin with a pick-up from your Lisbon hotel or cruise port. The objective of the day will be to show you the national monuments in Tomar, part of which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. As this is a private tour, you can rearrange your tour how you see fit. Below is the standard itinerary for a Full Day Tour (The Half Day Tour will be more focused in the town of Tomar and the Convent of Christ):

After the pick-up, we will head directly towards Tomar, an approximate 1h30m drive. Upon arrival, we will visit the castle area, which includes the famous convent of Christ, where one of the most beautiful works of the Manueline style can be seen. Afterward, a small stroll in the center of the city, where you can taste some of the local sweets and/or lunch, after which we will head to the Almourol Castle, a small castle in the middle of an island in the river Tagus, which was also an important location for the Templar Knights. 

Before heading back to Lisbon, we can still have some time to visit Barquinha, a small but beautiful village by the river where the Templar Interpretation Center is located.

• Start and Finish times may be adjusted to your preference or to your Cruise schedule.
• If you come on a Cruise, at the time of booking, please inform us of the ship name, disembarkation time, and re-boarding time.
• Please advise any specific dietary requirements or any other special needs at the time of booking.
• Please note that all our prices are per trip and not per person, meaning that the price you see is what you pay for the whole group.
• Depending on the size of the group and car availability the tours are made on a high-end sedan/estate (Mercedes E or equivalent) or on a high-end van (Mercedes V or equivalent)
• A maximum of 7 people per booking, for other group sizes please contact us directly
• All of our tours are normally made in English, but can also be made in Spanish, and of course, Portuguese. Just let us know if you require a different language than English when you book.

We hope that there will be no need for, but in the unfortunate event of a cancellation we will charge the following:

If canceled more than 7 days before the tour: 0% Cancellation fee - Full Refund

Between 7 and 5 days before the tour: 25% Cancellation fee - 75% Refund

Between 4 and 2 days before the tour: 50% Cancellation fee - 50% Refund

48 hours or less before the tour (including Noshows): 100% Cancellation fee - No Refund
