Our tour begins with the pick-up at your Hotel, Apartment, or Ship.
This private tour is provided mainly with the objective of showing you the national monuments at Évora, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Although there will be time to visit the inside of some selected monuments or attractions, it is never sufficient to visit all of them, so please inform your driver of your preferences and all arrangements will be made in order to fulfill your preferences. This experience is provided for the sole purpose of your enjoyment so feel free to ask for whatever you need and we will try our best to accommodate your request. As this is a private tour, you can rearrange your tour as you see fit. Below is the standard itinerary for the full-day tour (the half-day tour will focus more on just the town and necessarily have less time available):
After the pick-up, we will head directly to the Southeast through one of Lisbon's emblematic bridges, directly to Évora, an approximately 1h30m drive. Once we get there we will visit first hand the Almendres Cromlech and its interpretation center, one of the most important structures of this kind in the Iberian Peninsula. Alternatively, we may visit a cork factory, and get to know more about this quite important production for our Country. After that, we will proceed to the center of the village where we will leave the car and walk through the small city center to the main attractions, Roman Temple, Cathedral, Bones Chapel, Giraldo's Square, etc. (an approximate 1 to 2 km walk to see all the main spots)
We will lunch in one of the many locations in town, which can be also a wine restaurant with tasting/pairing of a couple of wines. Alternatively after lunch, we can visit one of the local Estates, where you will have the chance to taste (optionally) some of the wines produced in the region.
Please note that the order of the visits may be altered due to Lunch options and/or more favorable visiting hours for the attractions/monuments.
